In my never ending quest to eat thing that taste delicious, while at the same time fine simple and easy to cook I stumbled along a great magazine the other day at the grocery store. No I don’t have an addiction to purchasing magazines, other than Garden & Gun, as referenced yesterday, and the occasional cooking magazine, which is how I stumbled upon this little gem Monday morning. I thought it might be an ok option for some easy side dishes or make shift dinners when I don’t really feel like making something extravagant, and since it promised only 5 ingredients, I thought it would be a great money saving option as well, but, I never thought I would find the meal option we had for dinner last night it was top notch, and I even finally got David to cook me a steak and that is another win for this magazine!
- Olive Oil
- salt and pepper
- marinara sauce
- mozzarella cheese
ok. this one has 6 ingredients, if you count salt and pepper as ingredients.
1. season the steak with salt pepper and olive oil and grill to preference.
2. When you pull steaks off the grill place thinly sliced mozzarella cheese on top and cover with foil while you warm the marinara sauce.
3. spoon the sauce on the plate and place to steak on top of it.
4. wash the spinach and and place on top of the steak and cheese and then serve with a side dish and enjoy!
We served that with grilled veggies, which we cooked on the grill in tin foil. We used broccoli, squash, and onions, which we mixed up with salt pepper and olive and a little bit of butter. Then wrapped them in tin foil and tossed them on grill and cooked them while we cooked the steaks, it was delicious! The whole meal looked soooo good! and it had minimal ingredients, so it was top notch!
