Movement Mondays – Eli, Eli

I know I say this a lot, but this is LITERALLY, my favorite dance that has been done on SYTYCD to date. It was a piece by Tyce Diorio, about overcoming the struggles in life and carrying around emotional baggage, and how people cope with devastation and depression to put the pieces back together and move on. The raw emotion is just overwhelming. I mean, Kathryn McCormick is always great but Chehon really came out of his shell in this one, and his performance is awesome. It gives me goose bumps every time! Check it out, it will change your life, so stunning!

Also, for an added bonus, here is a great piece by Mia Michales this week. I am so glad that the show is exploring more serious movement and not just contemporary dances about love and heart break. I think these two pieces are awesome! Such great explorations of movement and passion! And the partnering and weight sharing in this one is great!
