Baked Brie

With the holidays just around the corner, I thought I would share this great appetizer with you guys! I made this for my aunts Halloween party this past weekend, and per usual it was quite the hit! People love a good baked Brie, I know I do! We have them every year at Christmas, its one of my family’s favorite treats, and my Dad always gets the biggest wheel of Brie he can find, and fills it with deliciousness, bakes it, and its typically gone within an hour! So if you’re looking to spruce up your holiday gathering make sure to give this one a try, its super fast and easy, and always tasty!

Ingredients:

Brie cheese
puff pastry
almond slivers
raspberry preserves ( or whatever fruit you like!)
one egg for an egg wash

Instructions:

Cut the wheel of Brie cheese in half

roll out the puff pastry so it is a perfect square, and then place the bottom half of the brie in the cheese, and spread a sufficient amount of the preserves on top of it.

Then sprinkle the almond slivers on top, you can really use whatever kind of nuts or other goodies you want here, or none at all, its up to you, I just like to add the almonds for some extra crunch!

Place the top half of the Brie on top of the preserves and nuts, and then wrap the brie up. Pull all the corners together and then grab the center of each side and pull it towards the middle as well to make sure there are no gaps in the puff pastry for the deliciousness to sneak out!

Once you get it wrapped up place it on a baking dish and brush with an egg wash, then bake at 400 for 30-45 minutes or until pastry is golden brown and the cheese is melted and awesome, then serve with crackers and enjoy!!
